A new online website allowing users to select appropriate barristers has been launched in Australia. BarristerSELECT uses barristers' clerks to respond to requests to identify the best-suited barristers for the job. The service allows law firms to specify the type of barrister, expertise and price. The platform selects the chambers suitable and forwards the request to the clerks. The system was in beta with a couple of firms, a couple of in-house counsel, and a number of clerks involved, Foley said. According to founder Stephen Foley, the company piloted the system with selected law firms, chambers and in-house counsel.
