One of the Netherland’s most famous lawyers will now accept payment in bitcoin.Amsterdam-based Peter Plasman of Plasman CS Advocaten has implemented a system with Atlanta-based payment processing firm Bitpay o ffering bitcoin as an option on the firm’s website.
Plesman, who has represented many high-profile criminal defendants including Mohammed Bouyer who was convicted of murdering filmmaker Theo Van Gogh, is following in the footsteps other law firms which have said yes to the digital currency.
US firms accepting bitcoin
South Carolina lawyer David Aylor has already accepted a bitcoin payment, the first legal fee in the US to be paid in the digital currency whilst Manhattan firm Nesenoff & Miltenberg announced last year that it would also accept the bitcoin as payment.
