Herbert Smith Freehills is reported to be one of the largest creditors to the recently collapsed public relations company Bell Pottinger. The city law firm prepared a report into a highly controversial public relations campaign carried out by Bell Pottinger in South Africa. Shortly after, the company went into administration with several companies and law firm clients bycotting it following accusations that it set up a campaign stirring up racial tensions.
