Top executives and general counsel from Apple, Harrods, Mulberry Group, Marimekko and Kempinski Hotels will be among the speakers at next month’s Luxury Law Summit in London.

The annual one-day conference on 31 March will feature a keynote from Lady Gaga’s costume designer Asher Levine, who will explain the crucial role technology plays in helping him to create his futuristic designs.

The event at the Ham Yard Hotel, which is hosted by Global Legal Post, attracts the leading brands from Kering, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Prada and LVMH to Ralph Lauren, Tiffany, Farfetch and Michael Kors, and brings together general counsel, in-house teams and business and creative figures.

GCs will discuss trends and risks from sustainability to insolvency and assess their impact on how they do business, from brand protection and supply chain to point of sale.

Business integrity and ethics is also a hot topic for the luxury marketplace with ethical working practices now front and centre for leading brands.

New areas of luxury such as luxury rentals will also feature with CaAstle general counsel Tim Hirsch sharing insights on this fast-growing area for luxury retail.

Experts will also be on hand to share their expertise on topics including compliance and reputation protection, franchising and licensing, decorative designs, M&A and IP and anti-Counterfeiting issues.
