Lauren Stevens was indicted in 2010 on four counts of making false statements to the US Food and Drug Administration, only to be acquitted by a judge who said she ‘never should have been prosecuted’.
Monitoring
In a post on the Wall Street Journal’s blog, she says in-house lawyers should take ensure that all their work is above board, as the authorities will be monitoring them closely. ‘I know that sometimes it feels as though we have a target on our back,’ she said.
