Adriana Barrera is a founding partner of BARLAW - Barrera & Asociados. She has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property law, with a particular focus on litigation and anti-piracy, being recognized as an undisputed leader at a regional level. She graduated as a lawyer from Universidad de Lima (1997) and holds an LL.M. with a specialization in Intellectual Property from Franklin Pierce Law Center, Concord, in the United States (2001). She also completed a Postgraduate course in Intellectual Property Law at the Universidad de Salamanca (1999), in Spain, and participated in the Summer Institute in Intellectual Property in 2001 at Franklin Pierce Law Center. Adriana also participated in the Program for Business Owners run by the Universidad de Piura (2017). For more than 20 years, she has been a member of various committees in the following organizations: International Trademark Association (INTA), Association of European Trade Mark Owners (MARQUES), Asociacion Interamericana de Propiedad Intelectual (ASIPI), International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and Camara de Comercio Americana del Peru (AMCHAM) (member since 2017). Recently, she has been invited to participate in the Global Advisory Council for Latin America and the Caribbean, for a two-year term, representing an elite group from INTA.
