Coen Barneveld Binkhuysen

Coen is a Partner at Osborne Clarke heading the technology, media and communications team in the Netherlands. He is a highly experienced tech lawyer based in Amsterdam, who advises on all sorts of non-contentious legal issues, often involving the use of new technologies. Coen has comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of legal topics, ranging from traditional (international) contract law and intellectual property (IP) rights to consumer law, IT law, and AI. His particular area of expertise involves the procurement of IT services, complex software implementation, licensing projects, and white labelling strategies that safeguard IP. He also often assists with (transitional) services agreements and commercial law-related issues resulting from (international) mergers and acquisitions transactions. Coen qualified as a Dutch lawyer in 2011 and graduated in both International Business and Economics at the University of Maastricht and Corporate Law at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
