Gretha Cachia

Gretha joined Stobbs as a trademark attorney in 2022 with experience in trademark filing strategy, prosecution, opposition practice, and dealing with infringements. She holds a Doctor of Laws degree (LL.D.) from the University of Malta where she also obtained a warrant to practice as a solicitor. Gretha also graduated with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property Law and IT from University College Dublin. She is eligible to practice as an EU trademark attorney and has recently qualified as an Irish trademark attorney. Towards the end of law school, Gretha focused her studies on food law, specifically food adulteration and food fraud, which relates to the authenticity of food products. It was here that she developed an interest in brands and trademarks and their value in the commercial world. Gretha is a member of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys (APTMA) and the Malta Chamber of Advocates. Outside of work, Gretha enjoys spending time outdoors mostly gardening and propagating plants. She enjoys cooking for friends and family and upcycling odd bits of furniture.
