Joanne Zaaijer is a Partner at Osborne Clarke Netherlands. She specialises in Privacy and Data Protection law, Telecoms law and e-Commerce law. Joanne advises clients on a wide array of privacy-related matters, including cross-border transfers of personal data, the implementation of privacy policies, GDPR compliance programmes and audits, data retention and security issues, as well as on telecoms-related legal and regulatory aspects and matters relating to direct marketing, profiling, e-commerce and advertising. She also assists clients during administrative proceedings, investigations by competent authorities and the handling of data breaches. Her clients include large multinationals in various sectors, including (global) e-commerce, media and tech companies, financial institutions, telecom companies, retail companies and companies active in the healthcare sector. Joanne holds various memberships, including a membership with the Dutch Privacy Law Association for Attorneys (VPR-A), the Dutch Association for Information Technology and Law (NVvIR), the Dutch Association of Advertising Law and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
