Morrison Cohen associate Kayla West focuses her practice on representing private sector employers in labor and employment matters as well as defending them in federal and state court and before administrative agencies. Employers and human resource personnel turn to Kayla for counsel in all areas of employment law, including the defense of discrimination, retaliation and reasonable accommodation claims; wage and hour matters; drug testing; affirmative action compliance; handbook policies; diversity, equity and inclusion; family and medical leave; employment agreements; restrictive covenants; severance agreements; individual terminations and reductions in force; and workplace health and safety issues. Kayla has prepared training materials on sexual harassment, affirmative action compliance and workplace civility. She also has labor-management relations experience, including grievance administration and the defense of unfair labor practice charges.
