Maria was born in Larnaca, Cyprus. She graduated law from Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, and was awarded an MA in International Relations from Istanbul Bilgi University, Turkey. Maria was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2011. She joined AGP in 2019 as Senior Associate, member of the Commercial & Corporate Department. Maria is an enthusiastic and committed practicing lawyer who is passionate about supporting her clients to access the law as it applies to their own situation, and empowering people to reach solutions which best work for them. In her legal career Maria worked as a lawyer at the Office of the Attorney General of Cyprus and thereafter worked as corporate and commercial lawyer at a prestigious law firm, where she was involved in litigation and corporate matters. Throughout the years Maria gained international expertise working with various legal issues in multiple jurisdictions. She has in-depth knowledge and expertise in corporate and commercial law, liquidation proceedings, intellectual property, data protection matters negotiating and drafting of various corporate and commercial agreements, setting up/management of corporate structures and appearing in court for company petitions and requirements.
