Marilyn Piccini Roy is a partner and head of the wealth management group at Robinson Sheppard Shapiro LLP in Montreal, practising in the areas of estates, trusts, regimes of protective supervision and elder law. She is a former adjunct professor and current sessional lecturer at the Faculty of Law of McGill University. She has written numerous articles and presented seminars and conference papers on successions, trusts and elder law, and is currently a member of the editorial board of Estates, Trusts & Pensions Journal. She is an Academician and the Secretary as well as a past executive Councilor of The International Academy of Estate and Trust Law, an active member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, an International Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and a past president and now honorary member of the Canadian Bar Association national wills, estates and trusts executive. She is ranked in Chambers HNW, Who’s Who Legal Canada and was selected as “Thought Leader” in 2020, and in Best Lawyers since 2008. She was selected as Best Lawyer of the Year, Trusts and Estates, Montreal, Quebec in 2012 and 2020.
