Tomoko Nakada, attorney-at-law admitted in Japan and New York, is a founder of Tokyo Heritage Law Firm in Tokyo, Japan. Ms. Nakada focuses her practice on international estate planning and estate settlement. Ms. Nakada has been chosen as an International Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) since 2015, and is a member of its International Estate Planning Committee. She has been Academician of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law (TIAETL) since 2017 as well. Ms. Nakada is a graduate of the University of Tokyo (Bachelor of Laws 1995) and New York University (L.L.M. 2001) and worked as a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School (2001-2002). She was admitted to practice in NY in 2002. She began her legal career in Japan in 1997 as a Tokyo District Court judge, a member of the three judge panel, a special honor for a junior lawyer.
