Ursula Zavala specializes in environmental law, water resources and sanitation. She advises large-scale investment projects, mainly in the mining and energy sectors, with focus on environmental obligations in the stages of financing, development, operation and closing of operations. She was part of the team designing the legal strategy and defense in one of the few class actions brought against an international mining company in Peru. Ursula holds and Master of Laws degree from Yale University and has been consistently ranked as a leading environmental lawyer by Chambers & Partners, Latin Lawyer, among others.
