Houston law firm set to spend $25m on TV advertising

AkinMears appears at the top of a list in a report from the US Chamber Institute for Legal Reform and is followed by two other practices, which are said to each have budgets of over $24m.

The two firms spending $24m or more are Morgan & Morgan and Pulaski & Middleman. Five other practices are said to be spending over $10m: Legalzoom.com, the James Sokolove Law Firm, the Goldwater Law Firm, Los Defensores Attorney and Avvo. 

Google keyword searches

The report also found that law firms are paying a premium for keywords in Internet searches that produce the firms’ sponsored links. A payment is triggered when users click on a link to them. Among the 25 most expensive Google keyword search terms, 23 are linked to legal issues. Sources: ABA Journal; Institute for Legal Reform
