Just had an interesting and somewhat contrasting two or three days, beginning with an address to a number of California entrepreneurs at HM Consul General’s Residence, singing the praises of Northern Ireland, supported by Invest NI.

Then on to Southwestern Law School where I had lunch in probably the most beautiful and impressive art deco surroundings I have ever seen.  Some years ago the university converted an old department store, bringing all the original features back to life.  Truly impressive!

Chatted to the Dean over lunch about my book and the International Mediation Service we have just set up in Belfast and Dublin.

The following evening I was invited as a guest to Hugh Hefner’s Midsummer Night’s Party at the Playboy Mansion.  All in the name of business of course, although a bit unnerving engaging with my fellow lawyers in pyjamas, never mind the mind boggling spectacle of dozens of girls running around.........shall we just say without pyjamas!  Cee Lo Green provided the side entertainment.
