Mr Laophulsuk is coming on board as a new partner in A&O’s Bangkok office after nearly seven years in-house with Standard Chartered Bank (Thai) PLC, where me most recently served as the country-wide head of legal and compliance. His practice at A&O will focus on transactions, contentious and non-contentious work in regulated markets.

Wealth of experience

During his time at StanChart Thailand, Mr Laophulsuk gained extensive experience working closely with regulators including the Bank of Thailand and the Securities Exchange Commission, leaving him well positioned to advise clients operating, or seeking to operate, in Thailand. He has extensive experience advising on the development of banking, capital market and derivative products, licensing and documentation projects, complex disputes, compliance, FCPA and anti-bribery matters. ‘Nithi Laophulsuk is a renowned and highly regarded lawyer in his field and his skills and experience will add to and complement our existing team,’ said A&O Bangkok managing partner Stephen Jaggs of the hire.
