Mark MacDougall, an Akin Gump partner, refused to give evidence - and is now being accused of serious misconduct. If the judge agrees that he was guilty of misconduct, a ruling could be made to require the firm to pay the legal costs of defendant Victor Dahdaleh. The two sides are now calling expert witnesses to discuss the matter. Source: Financial Times
