Insulting the judiciary is a criminal offence in Egypt. In an interview, Ms Clooney said: 'When I went to launch the report, first of all they stopped us from doing it in Cairo. They said: 'Does the report criticise the army, the judiciary, or the government?' We said: 'Well, yes.' They said: 'Well then, you're risking arrest'.'

The report was published eleven months ago. Ms Clooney produced it for the International Bar Association. It looked at issues about the independence of the judiciary including government powers over judges and prosecutors. Source: Business Insider
