Travis Tygart, the investigator who brought down Lance Armstrong, expects that the cyclist will co-operate with the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) in the future.

Mr Tygart, the CEO of USADA, was in charge of the investigation that resulted in a life ban on Lance Armstrong and the stripping of his medals. In an interview with the German paper Die Welt, he said: ‘I think there is a lot of good that Lance Armstrong can still do for sport but also, obviously, the cancer community around the world.’ Talking of the possibility of the cyclist co-operating with USADA, he said: ‘We hope it will happen, but we know it's a process. We know that the first step is usually the hardest. But, just like Tyler [Hamilton], just like Floyd [Landis] [the two team mates of Lance Armstrong who gave evidence against him ]we hope that he will get through the process and come in.’
