The attorney has defended the Goodwin Procter partner from Apple accusations and from its suggestions that he should be removed from his court-appointed role. In a letter seen by Legal Week, the attorney, Lawrence Buterman, says: 'Regrettably, it is now clear that Apple has chosen a campaign of character assassination over a culture of compliance. Apple has focused on personally attacking Mr. Bromwich, and thwarting him from performing even the most basic of his court-ordered functions.'
