Attorney generals agree on scale of patent trolls problem

Three US state attorney generals and three GCs have met at a round table discussion and agreed on the extent and importance of the patent troll problem.

Two of the attorney generals, Bill Sorrell of Vermont and Jon Bruning of Nebraska, mentioned MPHJ Technologies which Inside Counsel claims is  'perhaps the most notorious NPE [non-practicing entity] in operation in the USA today'.  Inside Counsel continued: 'They pointed out that the company’s practices are outrageous, sending out hundreds, perhaps thousands of demand letters to companies of all sizes.'
