The Australasian Legal Practice Managers Association (ALPMA) and LexisNexis Pacific conducted the survey among legal managers and found that lack of partner buy-in and a slow response by managers were the main obstacles to change in their view. Warrick McLean, ALPMA president, told Lawyers Weekly that the firms which have adapted are using more sophisticated sales and marketing techniques, 'heralding the end of an over-reliance on rainmakers for revenue growth'.
