Big Four Japanese firm opens fourth domestic office

Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, the Tokyo-based practice whose clients include Panasonic and Sanyo Electronics, is to open a three-lawyer base in Nagoya in September.

As well as offering dispute resolution services, the team will be working in the areas of antitrust, corporate crisis management and intellectual property. It will also be involved in cross-border issues, collaborating with colleagues in the firm's other offices in Japan, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Bangkok and Yangon. 

Osaka

The three lawyers to be based in Nagoya are partner Yoshihiro Kojima and associates Mikio Sonoda and Tomoaki Murai. Other Japanese branches of the firm are located in Fukuoka and Osaka. Source: Asian Legal Business
