According to the New York Daily News, Eric Cuellar and Justin Teixeira, both 24, were caught on surveillance footage at the Flamingo casino beheading the bird before throwing around its body.
The grusome act has seen the two men gaoled on charges of suspicion of conspiracy and willful malicious killing of wildlife -- a felony under Nevada’s strict animal rights laws.
Officials said the suspects claimed to study at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and had student identification cards.
