The team manning the Cayman Islands outpost – which is set to launch in September – includes partners Jason Allison, Nick Bullmore and Jarrod Farley.
Carey Olsen’s BVI capability will be led by Guernsey-based partner Andrew Boyce, who practised in the BVI before joining Carey Olsen and is dual-qualified in Guernsey and BVI law.

Client demand

Alex Ohlsson, Carey Olsen managing partner, commented: ‘We have encountered an increasing demand for the provision of Cayman Islands and BVI legal advice from our clients and intermediaries. This step has been taken to respond to that demand.’
Mr Bullmore, added: ‘Carey Olsen has an excellent reputation in the off-shore legal market, particularly in the field of investment funds. The firm’s decision to expand to the Cayman Islands is a strong endorsement of the jurisdiction as a leading offshore financial centre.’
