Carta Mantiglia to lead Bonelli's London outpost

Leading Italian mergers and acquisitions specialist Andrea Carta Mantiglia is to take over the top slot in his firm's London office, Rome and Milan-based Bonelli Erede Pappalardo has announced.
According to the Italian magazine Top Legal, the move is being seen as a push by the firm to boost its presence in the UK capital. It quoted a statement from the firm’s managing partner, Alberto Saravalle, who said: ‘As the firm progresses through the next stage of its evolution, we hope to forge stronger links with UK and international clients, including non-EU multinationals that consider London a first port of call for their European operations.’
The firm is currently understood to have around 15 fee-earners based in London. Mr Carta Mantiglia is currently based in the firm’s Milan office and sits on the firm’s management board, with responsibility for Bonelli’s corporate communications.
According to Top Legal, he will start his London role in April, but still split his time between the UK and Milan.
