The Magic Circle firm has been joined in an action by German transport provider BVG which is suing JP Morgan in relation to a collateralised debt obligation dating back to 2007. The claim is that CC in Germany gave negligent advice. A spokesman told The Lawyer: 'We do not consider that BVG should have joined us to this action. We believe the claims against us are misconceived and entirely without merit and we will continue to defend our position robustly.' CC will be represented by Clyde & Co when the case is due to be heard in the High Court later this month.
