Legal Week reports today that CC – which has had a relationship with Al-Jadaan since 2003 - has secured approval for the move, which will see the two firms integrate their corporate, finance and capital markets practices in the region from 1 January next year.
Special adviser
Two Al-Jadaan partners - Abdulaziz Al-Abduljabbar and Khalid Al-Abdulkareem – are set to become CC partners, while several of the Suadi firm’s associates and staff will also move across to CC.
Al-Jadaan managing partner Mohammed Al-Jadaan will continue in his current role but also act as special adviser to CC on Saudi transactions.
‘The decision to establish our own entity in this way is very much a response to the growing Saudi-specific demands of our global and local clients,’ commented CC's regional managing partner for the Middle East Graham Lovett.
