Clyde & Co expand Asia-Pacific practice

The firm has taken on three partners in the region and promoted three others to partnership.

Clyde & Co has promoted a partner in Sydney siwawut

Clyde & Co has gone on a recruitment spree in the Asia-Pacific. The firm has made three lateral hires as well as promoting three partners locally. Kon Nakousis joins in Sydney as a construction partner, arriving from Minter Ellison. Justin Tan arrives into the firm's Singapore office as a corporate partner. He joins from Singaporean firm Rodyk & Davidson and was previously with Allen & Overy for seven years in Singapore, Tokyo and Shanghai. June Yeum has joined Clyde & Co's Singapore and New York offices as an international arbitration partner.  June arrives from Lee & Ko in Seoul where she was co-head of the international dispute resolution group. Prior to Lee & Ko, June was with Baker & McKenzie and Duane Morris in New York.

Internal promotions

The firm has made three internal partnership promotions. Gareth Horne becomes the first internal partnership promotion in Australia; he joined from Allens in 2012 along with a team of partners who established Clyde & Co in Australia. Singapore-based Trudy Seow has been elevated to partnership alongside transportation finance specialist Connor Warde in Hong Kong. Asia Pacific board member and partner, Brian Nash, commented: 'The additions are strongly aligned with the firms' sector development focus, as we continue to expand capability in line with global and regional strategy.'
