DAC closes office and consults on 65 jobs
UK law firm DAC Beachcroft is closing one of two offices in the city of Manchester and is launching a redundancy consultation over 65 posts.

The move is driven by ‘market conditions and demands for increased efficiencies and consistency of customer processes from fewer office locations’, said the practice in a statement. The firm is to consolidate its ‘claims solutions group’ in its other Manchester office. The firm says that ‘approximately 65 roles are at risk across England and Scotland’, adding: ‘We appreciate this will be a difficult and uncertain period for affected staff and we intend to provide as much support and guidance as possible at this time. We will not be making any further comment until completion of the consultation period.’ Source: Legal Week
