Dechert grieves over litigation partner, Antony Dutton

London-based, New Zealand-born litigation partner Anthony Dutton, 49, has died suddenly and, according to the notice placed on the Dechert website, 'will be greatly missed and thought of often'.

The full message on the Dechert side reads: 'We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden death of our partner, Antony Dutton, who passed away on January 4. He will be greatly missed and thought of often.'  Mr Dutton had been working on the LIBOR scandal over the last year and on other high profile issues - including payment protection insurance - in the financial services sector. 

Investigations

His biography on the site says: 'Antony has been undertaking internal investigations on behalf of clients into impaired funds and has been representing clients in regulatory investigations involving the Financial Conduct Authority, the Serious Fraud Office, the US Department of Justice and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.'
