Dentons, which says it is the fastest growing in Australia, is to combine with existing associate firm, Fisher Jeffries in Adelaide, to connect clients seamlessly to Dentons lawyers in all major Australian cities and 9,900 lawyers globally.

Expanding footprint

The combination extends Dentons’ national footprint in Australia and adds 13 new partners with expertise across financial services, corporate, dispute resolution, construction and engineering, employment, manufacturing and real estate. Ian Dardis, Dentons’ Australia ceo, said “Dentons is delighted to be formalising its longstanding relationship with 130 year old firm Fisher Jeffries.” He explained, “Fisher Jeffries has an excellent reputation in South Australia as a specialist commercial firm, built on an intimate understanding of the local business market. And, as Australia’s defence hub, we see the combination with a leading local firm as having benefits for both domestic and global clients.”

Global reach

Doug Stipanicev, Dentons Australia region chair, said “growth has been a strategic priority for the Australia Region, and since combining with Dentons we have opened offices in the major Australian markets, connecting our talented lawyers to clients across Australia.” Karen Thomas, Fisher Jeffries Managing Partner, added “the combination with Dentons will help launch our South Australian firm into the global marketplace and bring even more benefits for clients.”
