Egypt has become the next go to destination for international law firms with Shearman & Sterling the latest firm reportedly considering an office or association in the region.According to The Lawyer magazine, the firm is looking to beef up its arbitration practice with ten ongoing arbitrations for the Egyptian state and state-owned businesses.
A number of international firms already have offices or associations in Egypt including Trowers & Hamlins, Dentons, Baker & McKenzie, Crowell & Moring and DLA Piper. Shearman's is also beefing up its London team, the report says.
