Specialist media and entertainment law firm, Bray & Krais Solicitors, has announced the arrivals of Simon Goodbody, partner, and Andrew Forbes, consultant, and the launch of its dispute resolution practice.
Enabling new practice
Established over 20 years ago, Bray & Krais specialises in music, sports and entertainment law. The Firm is known for its non-contentious music practice and for its work on high-profile and international branded live events, advising high-profile clients such as The Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran, Take That and the Gorillaz. The firm says the new arrivals enable Bray & Krais to now offer specialist dispute resolution expertise to its client base, and will advise clients in relation to matters including contract, intellectual property, brand protection and reputation management issues. Co-founding partner Mark Krais said, “The arrivals of Simon and Andrew ensures we are able to now offer to existing and new clients a robust and comprehensive dispute resolution service. Andrew’s leading reputation and Simon’s specialist expertise will be great assets to the Firm.”
Longtime co-workers
Mr Goodbody, formerly a senior associate at media and entertainment firm Lee & Thomson, has over ten years’ experience and has expertise across a wide range of music industry disputes and issues, acting for leading talent, major record companies, music publishers and industry bodies. He also has a wider practice acting for book publishers, authors, broadcasters, social media marketing companies, YouTube vloggers and SVOD companies. Mr Forbes has 30 years’ expertise in litigation across a spectrum of media and entertainment related disputes. Separate to Bray & Krais, he continues to operate his own dispute resolution consultancy practice providing services directly to a number of clients. Both Mr Goodbody and Mr Forbes have worked together throughout their careers.
