Europe: job market

London law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain advised A&N Media - the consumer media business of Daily Mail and General Trust Plc (DMGT) - on its purchase of Italian job website Jobrapido.
Jobrapido is considered to be Europe’s second-largest international job search engine, reporting 2011 profits in excess of £5 million on sales of £20m. The site attracts around 32 million visitors from 50 countries every month. The deal – reportedly worth some £25m – will see A&N Media combine Jobrapido with its existing recruitment websites, including Jobsite, OilCareers and Broadbean to form a subsidiary called Evenbase.
RPC’s team was led by corporate partner Tim Anderson and senior associate Nick Richards. The Italian firm Carabba & Partners acted for the buyers on Italian aspects of the transaction, while Pirola Pennuto Zei acted for the sellers.
