Eversheds pick up the pieces of McGrigors construction team

London-based international law firm Eversheds has raided the construction team of UK rival McGrigors, just two months before the Scotland-headquartered firm will complete an arranged tie-in with Pinsent Masons.

Construction: Eversheds pounce on McGrigors team

The daring switch -- which will see the nine-strong team of partners, senior associates, other solicitors and staff leave Mcgrigors -- is believed to be the result of a conflict brought about by the Pinsents merger, according to The Lawyer newspaper.

The construction team is led by McGrigors’ Manchester office head David Moss, and also includes partner Paul Giles.
The team -- which will be based at Eversheds’ Manchester office -- will also be joined by former Addleshaw Goddard partner Nigel Proctor.
