Agile was launched in 2011 and provides interim legal consultants to in-house legal teams on a flexible basis. Its pool of lawyers for clients in Asia is expected to number between 20 and 30 initially and the service will be rolled out in Asia during the summer, with a view to being fully operational by September. The firm’s lead Agile partner David Boyd said: ‘We’ll be appointing someone very shortly to go out and lead the operation in Hong Kong and more widely in Asia. It’s at that point that we’ll be going after lawyers in a very aggressive way in the market.’ A focus for the firm will be in the financial institution sector, where the team will carry out regulatory compliance and banking transactional work.
Consultancy for in-house
Eversheds also announced this week that it is launching Ignite, a consultancy arm aimed at in-house teams that will enable in-house teams to outsource high volume, low risk work to Eversheds. Sources: Eversheds; The Lawyer
