Ex-GE lawyer accused of disclosing secrets

M Adriana Koeck, who used to work at General Electric, has been accused of copying her hard drive and disclosing confidential information in it to the media and prosecutors.

An ethics complaint filed in Washington DC about her accused her of having ‘knowingly disclosed client confidences and/or secrets, in that she used client confidences/and or secrets to the disadvantage of GE, and in that she used GE confidences and/or secrets to her own advantage’. She was also sacked from the company. She has said that she was fired because she told a senior colleague that GE was involved in helping some clients avoid tax. GE says she was fired for not performing well. Source: ABA
