Law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) has nominated the first beneficiaries of its legaltech incubator called Prarambh, which is says is a first for India.
Winning cohort
The firm announced the winners of its first cohort: JRTC Intern, Leegality and LegalMind. JRTC Intern is a talent management platform connecting pre-qualified law students with internship opportunities at law firms, advocate offices and corporates. Leegality is an e-signing and digital document workflow platform enabling enterprises to digitise and automate document signing and provides e-stamp papers. LegalMind is an AI-based legal research platform enabling users to perform efficient research supported by analytics and insights. A panel of innovators, industry experts and lawyers from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas will mentor the three winning startups as part of the process.
Young entrepreneurs
Prarambh was unveiled in February as an incubator to help young entrepreneurs coming up with new technology-based solutions for the legal industry, which includes areas related to access to justice, dispute resolution, transaction efficiencies, law firm operations, legal research, compliance, contract management and managing legal talent, among others. The firm received 51 applications from a range of startups.
