France: feel the power

De Pardieu Brocas Maffei advises on thermoelectric cogeneration plant deal.

Leading French business law firm De Pardieu Brocas Maffei advised Crédit Agricole des Régions Centre Ingénierie Entreprise as arranger, Caisse Régionale De Crédit Agricole Mutuel Centre Ouest as lender and Crédit Agricole CIB as hedging bank, in connection with a thermoelectric cogeneration plant that will supply the Val de l’Aurence area in Limoge.
The plant, developed by Saint-André-lez-Lille based energy service company Dalkia and operated by the Société de Distribution de Chaleur de Limoges, has been authorised to operate a biomass-fuelled power generation facility using a turbo-alternator with a power capacity of 7.5 MW.
The De Pardieu Brocas Maffei team included partners Jean-Renaud Cazali and Olivier Schmitt. Herbert Smith Paris acted as counsel to the borrower, with a team led by partner Eric Fiszelson.
