Valerie Ford Jacob has announced that she is stepping down from the post and handing the reins to her co-chair David Greenwald. Mr Greenwald, who rejoined the firm in 2013 from Goldman Sachs where he was a top in-house lawyer, was due to take over in 2015. But Ms Ford said she had decided to accelerate the transition plan and hand over to Mr Greenwald with immediate effect. The firm has seen revenue rise in 2013 after a patchy recession and Ms Ford said in a memo that the last fiscal year had seen the highest profits per partner in the firm’s history. She will remain as head of the capital markets practice. Source: Abovethelaw
