The Global Legal Post is partnering with the International Bar Association (IBA) to be exclusive publisher of the official daily newspaper at the IBA Annual Conference Paris 2023.

The IBA Daily News will be independently produced by GLP’s editorial team and contain a mix of news, features and interviews that are designed to enrich the experience of delegates attending the conference, which takes place at Palais des Congrès de Paris from 29 October to 3 November.

The editorial content will be supplied by GLP's editorial team, led by editor John Malpas, with regular contributor Ben Rigby, who covers the IBA for GLP, performing the role of consultant editor.

Daily editions will be distributed at the venue each morning, helping more than 5,000 delegates from over 130 jurisdictions decide which of more than 200 sessions to attend and keeping them abreast of the programme’s key themes.

Global Legal Post’s founder, Mary Heaney, said: “We are delighted to join forces with the IBA as exclusive publishers of the official IBA Daily News, the ‘must-read’ publication for delegates attending the IBA Annual Conference 2023 in Paris. It’s an honour to be part of curating the daily highlights of the meeting and keeping delegates informed at this action-packed event.”

The conference provides legal professionals with a unique opportunity to share knowledge, build contacts and develop business. Its mission is to advance the development of international law and its role in business and society.

Last year’s gathering in Miami featured a recorded address by Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who described the delegates as “defenders of the law and human rights”.

Speakers lined up for this year’s event include leading UK human rights campaigner Baroness Helena Kennedy KC, who will chair a showcase session on the nature of justice, and an interview with Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin.

The sessions will cover all the major legal practice areas as well as broader topics, including legal technology, law firm management, marketing and career development.
