The firm lodged its application to open a base in the country last October and after gaining consent from the Ministry of Law in Korea, it will open a Seoul office in April, reports The Lawyer today.
Relocation
The new office will be led by construction and litigation partner Tony Dymond, who will relocate to Seoul from London by the end of this month. Singapore-based corporate partner Lewis McDonald will also join the new office, along with four associates drawn from London, Singapore and Hong Kong across corporate, projects and litigation practice groups.
HSF will become the third firm to open an office in the city, following magic circle firm Clifford Chance (July 2012) and DLA Piper (January 2013).
