Cocoon, Emilio Pucci, L’Oréal, Manolo Blahnik and McKinsey & Co are among the top brands that will be represented at September’s Luxury Law Summit Europe being held at the British Museum.
Luxury in the Roaring Twenties is the theme for this year’s summit, reflecting the buzz generated by the sector’s expected return to growth after the Covid-19 pandemic, driven by pent-up consumer demand, record levels of wealth, and increased investor appetite.
The line-up of speakers for the event on 22 September includes Ceanne Fernandes-Wong, CEO and co-founder of handbag-rental subscription company Cocoon, Joanne Loughrey, associate general counsel at L’Oréal UK & Ireland’s luxury Division, Kristina Blahnik, CEO at Manolo Blahnik, and Laudomia Pucci, deputy chair and image director at Emilio Pucci.
Keynote speaker Anita Balchandani, partner and leader EMEA apparel at McKinsey's Fashion & Luxury Group, will kick off proceedings by exploring the topics that are driving change and growth in the sector from new digital assets to advanced technologies.
The summit will also ask whether the concept of heritage, so often the key to success and legitimacy, can adapt to the digital age and whether digital luxury is creating new interpretations of IP rights.
Also under the microscope will be influencer marketing and its impact on advertising disclosure transparency, authenticity of voice and use of third-party materials.
In addition to main-stage sessions, the summit will include a choice of workshops, enabling delegates to tailor the agenda to suit their needs.
The summit will culminate with the presentation of the Luxury Law Awards, which feature an expanded set of categories to reflect the legal community’s crucial role in securing the sector’s recovery from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sponsors for the summit and awards include: AA Thornton, Barack Ferrazzano, Bennett Jones, Bird & Bird, CM Murray, Deloitte, Fladgate, HGF, Hogan Lovells, K&L Gates, King & Spalding, Mishcon de Reya, Pryor Cashman and RPC.
Places are limited and delegates who sign up by this Friday, 23 July, will benefit from preferential super early rates.
