Nishith Desai & Associates opened an office in Munich in September, to add to its foreign bases in Palto Alto, California and in Singapore. Last year, Kochar & Co became the first Indian firm to be granted foreign lawyer registration in Japan. The 'relatively young' firm of Khare Legal Chambers has, according to the Economic Times, opened up in Ohio in the US and in Greece. Many firms are being drawn by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre to open up in Singapore. Mumbai-based Dave & Girish says it is looking both to other parts of Asia and to Europe. Managing partner Mona Bhide told the Economic Times: 'We have Singapore in our mind apart from Paris, since we cater to many French clients.'
