Law firms to focus on Asia anti-bribery work

Law firms Proskauer Rose and Withers are among the professional practices which are gearing up to deal with more demand on corruption-related issues in Asia.

The two firms say they have already expanded these teams. Meanwhile accountancy giant EY - which is on the verge of boosting its legal wing - says it plans to increase its Asian fraud and investigations team by 40 per cent to a headcount of 400 this year. Chris Fordham, EY partner in the unit, said: ‘We’re behind on head count because we haven’t been able to recruit people fast enough.’ Source: Wall Street Journal Law Blog
