InCloudCounsel, a legal technology company offering a global, end-to-end solution for negotiating and managing routine legal work, is opening its first European office in London. The firm says expansion demonstrates its commitment to delivering a seamless global solution to its large enterprise clients.

Asia-Pacific next

The company plans to work with all major legal markets in Europe and open an office in Asia-Pacific by the end of the year. The firm says they also offer opportunities for highly experienced corporate lawyers ‘yearning for a flexible yet steady work arrangement.’ Troy Pospisil, founder and ceo of InCloudCounsel, said they provide clients ‘with the confidence that their recurring, yet important, documents and contracts are being thoroughly managed, so their in-house legal teams can focus on other, more complex work. Mr Pospisil added, ‘many of our clients have expanded, or plan to expand, into Europe, and by opening an office in London, we will be able to provide these clients with an even more accessible network of highly skilled lawyers to manage their high volume legal work.’

Expansion

Explaining the expansion, the firm states ‘from the beginning, many of our global clients have said that when it comes to negotiating and managing routine legal work, they experience the same pain points in their European divisions as they do in the US. They’re generally stuck choosing between two imperfect options: sending the work to a traditional law firm (and paying high rates for it to be handled by junior, generalist attorneys) or trying to find the right internal staff to effectively handle the work, ultimately taking focus away from the core aspects of their jobs.’ The expansion is led by Bridget Deiters, managing director UK at InCloudCounsel, who previously practiced corporate and capital markets law at Kirkland & Ellis and Cravath in London. The lawyers working with InCloudCounsel hold an average of nearly 14 years of experience, and most have worked at a top law firm.
