If the four persuade Mr Yanukovich to stand down shortly, there could be a run-off between them in 2014 - otherwise they will have to wait until the next presidential elections are due in 2015. Mr Yatseniuk, the lawyer, is now head of the Fatherland party, the party that used to be led by the now-imprisoned Yulia Tymoshenko.
