After 16 years...
Ms Guia worked with David si Baias for over 16 years and was the coordinator of the firm's competition and regulatory department. She is the only Romanian lawyer recognised in the top 100 Women in the World in Antitrust Practice, compiled by the Global Competition Review. She is also recognised as an expert in public procurement, telecommunications and state aid. Ms Guia will act as the managing partner of the new three-partner firm, which will focus on competition and state aid, consumer protection, litigation, regulatory (pharma, retail, IT&C), IP, data protection and technology, public procurement, real estate, and corporate matters. Ms Naghi worked at David si Baias as well between 2016 and 2018 as a managing associate. After that she partnered up with Octavian Adam, who specialises in litigation and who will lead the litigation and arbitration department in the new firm.
"New adventure"
“After having gone through a 16-years career in the corporate environment," Ms Guia commented, "I am enthusiastically embarking upon this new adventure, alongside a growing team of dear friends, who I respect for their professional character, but also for their strength, depth, dedication and ethics. I believe that we will do great things together, building upon the already solid foundations of our careers so far, but also adding a new vibe, a sort of courage that is very much our own.” Ms Naghi said, “We fully understand the markets and industries of our customers, the obstacles they face in business and the growth goals. We have come to the conviction that each problem always has more solutions. Our challenge lies in the ability to find the special solution that is best suited to the client's case.” Mr Adam added, “We are a new structure that brings together people with different but complementary experiences in what they do. The results obtained in the past as well as the number and magnitude of ongoing projects make us optimistic about the future.”
